Visiting Innerleithen Golf Club
Innerleithen Golf Club has welcomed visiting golfers since 1886. Designed by three-time Open champion Willie Park Jnr and set in the beautiful Leithen Valley, just 30 miles south of Edinburgh, it offers a genuinely memorable round in one of the most scenic corners of the Scottish Borders.
The course is easy to walk yet genuinely challenging — water comes into play on multiple holes, the terrain varies dramatically, and the back nine tee positions on several holes offer a fresh set of challenges on the way home. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or an occasional player, you will find a course that rewards thought as much as power |
We would love to hear about your experience at Innerleithen (good or bad!), please use our feedback form here.
What our visitors have to say:
A must for any golfer visiting the Borders. Set in a valley surrounded by hills is quite stunning. Elevated tees on 1st & 3rd add to the pleasure. Easy to walk to get to the superb greens. My 2 friends enjoyed the challenge on their 1st visit, and like me will go back for more. All the members we met were very friendly
Played this on a stunning Sunday morning in July. It was like being in the Rockies! Some excellent driving holes with only one quirky par threes. The opening par three is a testing shot with ditch, road, bridge and river all in play. The par fives require long accurate drives and the greens were in decent condition. ...if you're simply looking for a quick round in a beautiful setting then Innerleithen hits the mark.
