There was a fantastic turnout for the season opening Ford Trophy at Innerleithen Golf Club, but low scores were hard to come by. With challenging pin positions, and the first venture onto medal tees for members this year, the golf was kept honest and the scoring tight.
Congratulations to Lyle Caine who ran out eventual winner with a 68 (gross 76) and lifts the trophy for the first time. Closely behind were Ian Stewart (69, gross 78) and David Todd (69, gross 73), Ian securing second place on count back. All eyes now turn to the series of weekday events and next weekends Ladies and Gents April medal.
