The Golfie Kitchen is at the heart of Innerleithen Golf Club — and increasingly at the heart of the local community too. Whether you've just finished 18 holes, conquered the trails or simply fancy a bite in one of the most beautiful settings in the Scottish Borders, you are always welcome here.
Meet Alejandro and Laura
The Golfie Kitchen is run by Alejandro and Laura, and the club is lucky to have them. Alejandro is an experienced chef who honed his skills in some of Edinburgh's finest restaurants before bringing his talent — and his passion — to Innerleithen. Originally from Argentina, he brings a genuine love of bold, honest food to everything he cooks. Throughout the summer he runs BBQ sessions that are something genuinely special — slow-smoked rather than flame-grilled, in the true Argentine tradition. Alejandro is also a keen fisherman, and that connection to the landscape and the seasons shows in the care he puts into his cooking.
Laura is the creative force behind Laura Cakes & Bakes, producing homemade cakes and desserts that have developed a loyal following well beyond the golf club. If you haven't tried one yet, that needs to change.
Together they offer a menu of wholesome hot and cold food, snacks, fresh coffee and Laura's irresistible bakes — the perfect reward after a round of golf, a day on the mountain bike trails or a walk in the Leithen Valley.

Everyone is Welcome
The Golfie Kitchen isn't just for golfers. Innerleithen is home to some of the most famous mountain bike trails in the world, and the clubhouse sits right at the entrance to the forest — making it a natural stop before, during or after a ride. Walkers exploring the Leithen Valley, locals looking for a good coffee and a homemade cake, and visitors to the Scottish Borders all find their way here. If you are in Innerleithen, you don't need to be carrying a golf bag to come in and enjoy what Alejandro and Laura have created.
