Hole 7 - Lea Pool
Yards: 176 (White) | 171 (Yellow) | 166 (Red)
Par: 3 SI: 15 (White) | 15 (Red) You are now at the top end of the course, and the wind is a real factor here — club selection is crucial. The Leithen Water runs to the left, and the deep pools beside the green are famous locally as a swimming spot for generations of Innerleithen youngsters. Rough left and out of bounds right keep the tee shot honest, and a bunker at the back catches anything that carries too far. The green is a small two-tier surface that rewards precision over power. Get your club right and a par is very achievable — get it wrong and the water, the bunker or the rough will all be waiting. Hole 16
Yards: 176 (White) | 171 (Yellow) | 166 (Red)
Par: 3 SI: 16 (White) | 16 (Red) Same tee positions as the front 9. The wind, the water and the two-tier green make this just as demanding second time round. |
