INNERLEITHEN GOLF CLUB        9 hole golf course located in the Scottish Borders

History

Over one hundred years ago, on the 22nd of September, 1886, Mr J. Kidd Brown was called to chair at a meeting in the St Ronan's Hotel. It was a gathering that proved to be the birth of the Innerleithen Golf Club. Since then the golf club has had a long and rich history including a professional match between two Open champions - Vardon and Herd in 1905. In 1986 Innerleithen Golf Club celebrated its centenary and a special booklet was produced to mark the occasion. Now in 2009 this booklet has been digitized and is available to download for anyone interested in the history of the club, course and past players and members.
